Residence Inn by Marriott Long Island Hauppauge/Islandia

I stayed here for a week for work and they took really good care of me. The continental breakfast was great. Every day when I came home my dishes were washed and the bed was made by the cleaning staff. Gym had free weights and some cardio machines. Staff was really nice and friendly. Would definitely come back.

Residence Inn Long Island is a really nice place to stay. Very clean rooms, very comfortable bed, big tv with movie, sports, etc.etc stations. Breakfast is included, eggs, sausages , cereals, toast , waffles, fruits, etc.etc. Bravo experience.

I stayed here two nights while visiting friends. Yes, my room was a bit dated and a bit worn. The hot breakfast was sufficient. There is coffee available in the lobby during the day. The location is great. It’s near everything you could need. The service at this Residence Inn was top notch. Every employee I encountered was genuinely pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again.

I was very pleased with our 2 day stay. Came to catch a flight out of JFK & relax before our flight to Thailand. I was given a great room with a free upgrade during our stay because of my Marriott rewards. Breakfast was free and really enjoyed it. The first morning we each had scrambled eggs w/crispy bacon a boiled egg with an (I) an English muffin and she had a cinnamon raisin bagel.

Staff was always going above & beyond! Front desk (daytime, evening, and overnight) all helpful, friendly. Maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen, porters (not sure what the men were called, but cleaned up around the building, just not necessarily in the rooms) were all wonderful. I needed to do extended stay for a year I never once did I have a complaint and never once did I see any of the staff members with a frown, in a bad mood or not 100% willing to help me what even the silliest of requests. And they never got annoyed that probably three or four times a week. I would need a new card because I locked myself out of the room once again. Lol. I don’t want to end without mentioning “Marge” Marjorie Monty the General Manager and probably the nicest woman I have ever met in my life (& I MEAN THAT) and the Asst General Manager Robert Peterson who were amazing and helped to make me feel like I was at a home away from home as like I mentioned I was here a year with my two children, and it was not an ideal situation, but they and the entire staff made it feel as close to home as it could. I almost felt like they were family or maybe like my neighbors… I can’t explain… I just know while they were very professional and helpful and friendly… You just need a situation that wasn’t the best really about the best that it possibly could be and I will be forever grateful.

Stayed at this location for a little over three months. Well situated and the staff are incredibly friendly. Biggest drawback as someone who works overnights is the school across the street never send to not be having an event and due to the shape of the hotel any event, or noise from the schools obviously well funded speaker system for the various sports training, certainly won’t be avoidable. If you don’t need to sleep during the day this hotel is a great fit for anyone looking for a clean, well maintained location!

We rented a one bedroom suite with a sofa bed. The room had a small kitchen and I really liked how the bedroom door closes for privacy. The bathroom was inside the bedroom which I didn’t like and the sink was outside the bathroom too. There was a fridge and a dishwasher with all the kitchen essentials needed for a short trip. We asked for more blankets and toothbrushes and they brought them to us. We were also given a bag of ice when we needed it. The breakfast was not the best but we made do.

I stayed at this property for three days to celebrate my birthday. What a joy it was! The swimming pool was a great temperature and lots of fun. The staff was extremely accommodating. There was nothing I asked for or needed that wasn't provided. They accommodated all of my preferences as stated in my Marriott Bonvoy profile which was refreshing coming from another local Residence Inn where that was not at all the case. We had some plumbing issues in our two-bedroom suite night one, but it was quickly dealt with up to and including sending engineering out the next day. The rooms can use some updating, but otherwise it was a relaxing and comfortable stay. I highly recommend this property to anyone needing to be in this area.
